Wow, what a brilliant idea for a newsletter and I love that spreadsheet! I spend so much time consuming and not enough time creating and I love that you have come up with a way to synthesize the two. Looking forward to reading!!

Okay, you just blew my mind that Andor is not a planet! Then I thought about it, and I realized I must've been thinking of ENDOR, which Google tells me is where the Ewoks come from. Sorry, nerds!

Anyway. Very excited to dive into creativity with you!

I also until today thought it was the planet!

I was like...why are we on Ferrix, when are we going to Andor...my husband was appalled.

I didn’t mention it to my husband but was thinking it the whole time. In any event, very excited for your newsletter and it’s a bonus that it is also explaining some Star Wars to me!

Coming out swinging with this edition!! So much value. 🙌 Thank you for sharing the spreadsheet template and giving examples of how you turned consumption into actionable takeaways for your writing, too.

Brava! so happy and grateful you are doing this! I admit I am a process nerd… research, analyzing, editing, etc. etc. — whatever is required to get words strung together on a blank page in a way that makes me feel moved, accomplished, excited, proud.

Well HEY! This was amazing! I just started my spreadsheet and spent an hour filling it in!

I've been in a time of rapid renewal (after a period of intense change) during which I've been taking in a lot of new input, and the insights and connections have been coming so fast this past couple of months. I had been thinking I wished I had a way to document everything from this period (besides journaling, which hasn't been adequate) so I could track and remember how they impact my creative direction and perspective.

I just tried doing this exercise just going back and filling it in for the first two months of 2024, and getting it all down onto paper was both a revelation and a relief! Thank you for giving me a simple solution to my brains question of how to keep track of these connections— AND showing me how I can use that tracking to better build and direct my creative energy! This is such an awesome idea for a newsletter!

Thank you so much for this lovely comment, Rachael! It sounds like you needed this for the same reasons I did, which was to have a safe space to dump links, videos, ideas, etc. and make sure they're captured, and then looking back later to see the patterns in what you're drawn to. Please keep me updated in how it's going!

Yeah! I especially love seeing how the things I'm drawn to tend to have all of these unexpected connections and somehow end up enhancing each other and creating so much insight and inspiration! This is rad!

Love that you loved Andor despite not seeing other Star Wars. That show was really a great ride! Also— I've used your spreadsheet (albeit an older version) for almost two years now and tracking my writing patterns has been so interesting. So excited for the newsletter launch!

Once we have some data to share...oh, it's on. I audit them at the end of the year!!

I love the Cassian comparison. I do this often while I watch certain TV series and then text myself ideas/questions to consider for plot or character arc. But I really should try your more organized system to track better the ideas deriving from the different sources of inspiration.
