The Szymborska quote resonated with me on a very personal level as I was immediately reminded of the imagination, curiosity, love, and humanity my oncologist brings to medicine — there is such passion and artistry in his approach to healing. Mel Brooks’ book is a fun read and a great historical perspective on comedy. What a legend.
I recommend re-watching a few of his movies beforehand since he has so many great backstories.
